The wrestling angel of God

tenacious wrestling angel of god
In Genesis 32 v 24-31 Jacob would not let go of the angel of the Lord, who we know to be God Himself, until He blessed him. They had a two way conversation, and Jacob received a blessing from God because he was so persistent and kept a firm grip. Jacob realised that he had seen God face to face!

This is a key to fulness of life! God wants the best for us in life and He wants to know what we wanna do about it! Take hold of God and His promises and never let go, you will reap the blessing as He leads you into all truth!

I love this analogy in our worship! Not that it's a struggle, but to be persistent, relentless, and to press in to that place, the holy of holies, where we meet with the living God, never letting go. Worship can often be a journey to get to this place, and in the end we are blessed because we bless Him, as we draw near to Him he then draws near to us and we have the privilege of meeting the creator God face to face as we worship Him. Jacob's contending tenacity caused him to prevail,
